Hi, The Portland Community Partnership (PCP) was formed in 2001 to carry on the work of the Single Regeneration Budget (SRB) and is currently an unincorporated association. The objects of the Partnership are to work with and for the good of the island of Portland and all those who live there by associating with local authorities, voluntary and statutory authorities in a common effort to improve the physical and economic conditions of life on the island of Portland. There is significant trust in the PCP by the local community, it has credibility as an organisation that supports development programmes working on a project by project basis. Both young and older residents have asked the PCP to support a range of community based projects. Recently a major component of this has been the work we have undertaken to support the Town Council in developing the neighbourhood plan, with several community consultations occurring over the last year. Since 2010 the PCP has also been actively consulting with the community and public sector bodies around the Localism agenda. We have consulted widely on our Community Economic Plan. We are now working to form our Community Land trust that will work with the local authorities on planning, housing and ensuring best use of community assets. For More Details Microfinance Examples
